About the Art

Did you know that Nova Scotia is home to more than 160 historic lighthouses? That’s a lot of lighthouses! One of the most popular of them all is Peggy’s Cove, the single most photographed lighthouse in all of Nova Scotia. This lighthouse was built in 1915 and it is still in use today, a rarity in lighthouses in general. Inspired by the workhorse nature of this lighthouse and the fact that it still guides lobster boats across surging waves back to safe harbor, Anderson Design Group handcrafted this vintage travel poster of the lighthouse, a fitting depiction of the building at sunset. This retro artwork is available as a framed print, canvas banner, framed postcard, or as a metal sign. To learn more about Canada’s many lighthouses, check out the Canada Guide.
