About the Art

The further north you go in Canada, the more likely it is that you’ll catch a glimpse of the famous Northern Lights, a natural depiction, a painting in some ways, of light and color on the night skies of the north. The Northern Lights, (or the Aurora Borealis), are best seen on a cool, clear night in autumn, winter, or early spring. And one of the best places to view them is in the Yukon. Given its northern nature, the Yukon offers some of the best views of the lights, especially from mid-August to mid-April. Inspired by nature’s own painting, Anderson Design Group’s artists fashioned a vintage travel poster of the northern lights, an illustration set far into the forested wilds of the Yukon.
