About the Art

One of the unique characteristics of Cassidy Arch in Capitol Reef National Park is that Cassidy Arch is one of the few arches where park rangers allow visitors to hike across the arch, if they so choose. Most natural stone arches are prohibited from climbing, walking, etc., so as to prevent damage and potential accidents. But Cassidy Arch is so massive and stable that visitors to the park can walk across it with ease. Inspired by an arch that has withstood the winds and rains of countless eons, Anderson Design Group envisioned, drew, lettered, and painted a vintage travel poster of the arch and two hikers strolling along it. Styled after the WPA-commissioned works of the early-20th century, this artwork makes for great wall decor as a print, banner, canvas, notecard, postcard, or metal sign. You can also give this vintage poster as a gift. And to learn more about Capitol Reef National Park, check out the Grand Canyon Trust.
