Capitol Reef National Park: Happy Trails
2017 By Kai Carpenter, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Called a “reef” for its folding, wrinkling nature and its sixty mile long wandering stretch north-south,
the Capitol Reef National Park is a warp in the earth’s crust. The fold was formed by the same
colliding continental plates which built the Rocky Mountains. The Utah park preserves this incredible
feature of canyons, cliffs, domes, rocky outcroppings, buttes, and towering spires for future generations
to enjoy. Anderson Design Group and oil painter Kai Carpenter honored the park through artistic
representation in this vintage national parks poster. A bold image of rockscapes and visiting horseback
riders that would make an impressive centerpiece in any room, art lovers and park fans alike can
custom order this vintage art by our wide range of sizes and format. To learn more about Capitol Reef, check out the NPS page for Capitol Reef.
