Charleston, SC: Broad Street
2014 By Michael Korfhage, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Historic Broad Street in downtown Charleston, South Carolina is alive with a buzz of energy, seven
days a week. Broad Street made the American Planning Association’s list of “great streets” thanks to
Charleston's meticulous preservation efforts. Today, the street is a mix of private residences, historic
buildings, restaurants, shops, and public-use lots. Inspired by the historic architecture and that “old,
downtown feel” Anderson Design Group handcrafted this poster art in the styles of the WPA-
commissioned artwork of the early-20th century. We see romance and nostalgia in our historic cities,
and we wanted to preserve them in our own way. Show your love for Charleston with a unique
illustration of the town. Or gift this vintage travel art to a special someone. To learn more about the
city and its historical significance, check out the Historic
Charleston Foundation.
Our gorgeous art canvases are made-to-order on high-fidelity printers and stretched onto wood frames with hanging brackets installed. Each work of art features an original illustration by the talented, award-winning artists of Anderson Design Group.
