Chesapeake Bay: Heron
2017 By Michael Korfhage, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Chesapeake Bay is known for being the largest estuary in all of North America. More than 150 major
rivers and streams flow into the bay, and the watershed region alone includes six states. The bay is not
only critical to the economy of Virginia and Maryland, but the estuary serves as home to a wide range
of wildlife as well. That’s why conservation efforts within the bay are a must. Hand-illustrating one of
the birds that calls Chesapeake Bay its home, Anderson Design Group crafted this vintage poster art as
the perfect gift or keepsake for anyone who loves this area. Hang this early-1900s illustration from
your wall as a canvas banner, or save on wall space by purchasing a framed postcard or set of notecards
instead. To learn more about conservation efforts in the bay, visit the Chesapeake
Conservancy.
Our gorgeous art canvases are made-to-order on high-fidelity printers and stretched onto wood frames with hanging brackets installed. Each work of art features an original illustration by the talented, award-winning artists of Anderson Design Group.
