Chicago: Michigan Ave. Shopper
2015 By Steven Garcia, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Michigan Avenue is a famous street near downtown Chicago featuring the Magnificent Mile, a central
location for upscale shopping and fine dining. This neighborhood is also home to incredible parks,
outdoor artwork, aesthetic structures, the Michigan Avenue Bridge, and several gardens. Two of the
skyscrapers that flank Michigan Avenue were constructed in the 1920s, so Anderson Design Group
hand-illustrated this vintage art print to add to our American Travel and Anderson Posters series.
Styled after the WPA-commissioned artwork that was revolutionizing poster art in the 1920s and
1930s, this retro travel art is the perfect keepsake and throwback all in one. It would make a great
addition to any room’s decor, or you can order it as a gift for a friend or family member. To learn more
about Michigan Avenue and Chicago’s other points of interest, check out the Chicago Visitor
Center.
