Chicago: Modern Skyline
2015 By Steven Garcia, Joel Anderson
About the Art
The Chicago skyline is home to four of the nation’s eight tallest buildings. Furthermore, the impressive
Sears (Willis) Tower is the world’s fifth tallest skyscraper. The boom of the 1920s saw an
unprecedented wave of skyscrapers shooting up across America, and Chicago was no different.
Several of the massive buildings which own the skies in the Windy City were constructed during that
time period. Inspired by the city’s impressive buildings, Anderson Designs handcrafted an art piece
that features much of the city’s skyline. This American Travel rendition was styled after the poster art
that was popular in the 1920s, an appropriate tribute to one of the city’s greatest growth periods. To
learn more about the city’s buildings, check out the Chicago Visitor Center.
Our gorgeous art canvases are made-to-order on high-fidelity printers and stretched onto wood frames with hanging brackets installed. Each work of art features an original illustration by the talented, award-winning artists of Anderson Design Group.
