Chicago-Style Hot Dog
2015 By Bekah Wertz, Joel Anderson
About the Art
For those of us who love a good taste of the local cuisine, one of the best things about Chicago is the
Chicago-style hot dog. The “Chicago Dog” is customarily made with an all-beef frankfurter, poppy
seed bun, mustard, onions, pickle relish, dill pickle spear, tomato slices, pickled peppers, and celery
salt. Coincidentally, most Chicagoans are adamant about NOT having ketchup on their Chicago Dogs.
Lovers of a good hotdog ourselves, the Anderson Design team handcrafted this illustration of the
Chicago skyscrapers and one of the famous Chicago “Red Hots.” Order this American Travel print for
your kitchen or outdoor dining area, or gift it to your favorite foodie. To learn more about the best
place to snag one of these iconic American delicacies, check out the Chicago Visitor
Center.
