About the Art
Apparently it’s not just the aspiring human musicians that are drawn to Nashville and other country
music cities of the South! The Great Southern Brood of cicadas is back for another moment in the
spotlight, and we’re happy to entertain them! These insects are not unlike music bands. They fly
high, sing loud, mate a lot, and then they break up (die) and we forget about them until a new brood
descends upon our trees, houses, cars, and buildings. The loudest bug in the world and with a song
like no other, odds are you’ll hear these funny lookin’ bug-eyes long before you see them! But if
you DO see one up close, you’ll wonder if it's even from planet Earth! Excited about swarms and
swarms of these harmless singing rockstars, our Nashville poster artists hand-rendered vintage
poster art of the Great Southern Brood, here in the South once again for a (very) limited time! Order
this snazzy design in a style of your choosing, as a poster, print, canvas, banner, metal sign,
notecard, postcard, or framed postcard.
