Colombia: Cartagena
2018 By Steven Garcia, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Did you know that Cartagena, Colombia has been the site of countless battles and imperialistic/colonial
efforts from Great Britain and other European powers? That’s why much of Cartagena is still
surrounded in old fortifications and walls. It’s also why the city is a historic icon in its own right, with
shipwrecks just off the coast, old armaments and fortresses dotted throughout the area, and many
historic sites and buildings within the city itself. Cartagena is also a beautiful, Caribbean town, a major
tourist destination, and an important spoke in the cultural wheel of the Colombian people. Anderson
Design Group crafted a travel poster of a city street in Cartagena, a fitting illustration of the rich
architecture and the classic, European style of the buildings. To learn more about Cartagena and nearby
