Everglades National Park: Silent Splendor-KC

The Everglades. If you’ve ever been there, you’ll never forget it. It’s like stepping into a tropical jungle, and that’s exactly what it is. The Everglades comprises 1.5 million acres of land, a sprawling network of waterways, verdant swamps, lush forests, and open lakes. This handcrafted illustration depicts a blossoming sunset, bright orange light catching the sky ablaze and reflecting its vibrance in the still waters below. One of a series, oil painter Kai Carpenter added his original paintings to the Anderson Design collection, creating a variety of romantic travel art modeled after the early-20th century “Golden Age of Illustration.” To learn more about the park, check out the Everglades Foundation.
