About the Art
The city of Paris and the nation of France soared to great heights during the 1960s. Under the
leadership of President Charles de Gaulle (1959 to 1969) France and Paris both regained their
respective statuses as a great powers in the world. The 1960s were an exciting time for France, a major
period of growth and resurgence following the devastation of World War II. Inspired by this era of
French history, Anderson Design Group handcrafted a vintage travel poster, styled after the artwork
fashions of the 1960s. You can order this retro design as an art print, canvas banner, metal sign, or as a
set of notecards or postcards. To learn more about French history and travel attractions throughout
France, check out the France Tourism Bureau.
