Georgia: Tbilisi
2018 By Steven Garcia, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Georgia is a small country in western Asia. The country is bordered by Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan,
and Russia. Tbilisi, the capital city, has a complex history, with periods spent under both Persian and
Russian rule. Because of that, the architecture and design of the city reflects a wide range of styles,
patterns, and cultures. Visitors to Tbilisi can find Eastern Orthodox churches, ornate art nouveau
buildings, and Soviet Modernist structures, all on the same city block. Anderson Design Group
rendered a vintage travel poster of the city, a colorful, handcrafted illustration of the city itself and the
old, fourth century fortress that overlooks the city, the Narikala Fort. This original artwork is available
as an art print, canvas, metal sign, framed print, or as a postcard or notecard. To learn more about
Georgia and travel opportunities to this country, check out the Georgian National Tourism
Administration.
