Gila River, New Mexico
2017 By Michael Korfhage, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Off the beaten path and not that well known, Gila River is a peaceful gem tucked into the Continental
Divide Trail. Surrounded by rocky outcroppings and hidden by lush foliage, this small river truly is an
undiscovered paradise in rural New Mexico. Seeking to eternalize some of the beauty of Gila River,
Anderson Design Group handcrafted vintage travel poster art of the river, showing a fork in the river
and a massive sandstone butte that forms one side of the river. A pleasant reminder of a hiking trip or a
fishing trip to the river, this artwork is available as an art print, canvas banner, framed print, framed
postcard, metal sign, or as a set of notecards or postcards. To learn more about the river and the
Continental Divide Trail that runs along it, check out the website for the Heart of
the Gila.
