Glen Canyon Dam, Arizona
2017 By Michael Korfhage, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Completed in 1966, the Glen Canyon Dam is a massive structure, a huge arch-gravity dam that spans
the Colorado River very near the Arizona and Utah border. The construction of the dam also led to the
creation of the Glen Canyon National Recreation area, a region which attracts thousands of visitors
every year for house boating, fishing, water-skiing, swimming, and other water activities. Anderson
Design Group hand-illustrated this vintage travel poster art to create the perfect keepsake of a trip to
the dam and recreation area. An early-1900s handcrafted art illustration such as this not only reminds
one of the nostalgia connected to a beloved location, but such art acts as an excellent home decoration
too. To learn more about the dam and the best ways to enjoy the nearby recreation area, check out the
National Park Service.
