Grand Teton: Morning Mist

Did you know that Grand Teton National Park is home to six different types of “hoofed” mammals? The elk are the most sought after by visitors, but this park also serves as a habitat for bighorn sheep, pronghorns, moose, bison, and mule deer as well. In an oil painting styled after the WPA- commissioned artwork of the early-1900s, Kai Carpenter created a vintage poster depicting an elk, one of the park’s many rivers, and the cascading steeples of the Grand Tetons themselves in the background.
