Great Smoky Mountains National Park: Clingmans Dome

When visitors schedule a trip to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a stop at Clingmans Dome is a must. To reach the dome, park goers hike a steep but brief trail from the parking area below. The hike is well worth it though, as spectators who reach the top of the observation tower can see more than 100 miles on a clear day.
