Guyana

Located on the northern mainland of South America, Guyana is quite unique in that it is the only English-speaking country in South America. A beautiful nation teeming in biodiversity, Guyana was originally settled as a Dutch and then British colony in the late 18th century. Today, Guyana is an independent republic within the Commonwealth of Nations.
