About the Art
The capital city of Connecticut, Hartford resides almost in the exact center of the state and is home to
about 124,000 people. The city was nicknamed the “Heartbeat of Connecticut” because of the city’s
crucial role not only as the state capital, but also as a major center for commerce and industry for the
state as a whole. One of the oldest cities in the region, Hartford was first settled in 1635. Residents of
Hartford and visitors to the city alike can now show their pride for this historic town with unique,
vintage travel poster art of the city, hand-illustrated by Anderson Design Group. Customize your
poster by size and style. Order your poster as a canvas banner, framed print, metal sign, or framed
postcard.
