Havana Cuban Coffee: by Kai Carpenter
2025 By Kai Carpenter, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Several countries claim to produce the best coffee, but when it comes to espresso, few can compare to the incredible and unique taste of “Café Cubano,” a style that’s earned committed fans the world over. Cuban espresso is a strong (and we mean strong) espresso shot traditionally sweetened with natural brown sugar that’s whipped with the first and strongest drops of espresso. A staple in the country for generations, the brewing and preparing of Café Cubano beverages remains a prominent social and cultural activity in Cuba and in Cuban-American communities. To celebrate this coffee style, Anderson Design Group teamed up with master oil painter Kai Carpenter to produce a vintage poster design that harkens back to the 20th-century travel art that promoted attractive cultural features of countries around the world. Available as a print, canvas, metal sign, mini canvas, or as a set of note cards or postcards, this artwork would look great on any wall.
