Iroquois Steeplechase
2004 Joel Anderson
About the Art
Kentucky might take the national recognition in horse racing, but Nashville holds its own with the
Iroquois Steeplechase. This race is held annually, a famous event that attracts more than 25,000 people
from all around the world. And this isn’t just a horse race either. In fact, the Iroquois Steeplechase is
also a charity event, with nonprofits and local charities like the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital
and the Friends of Warner Parks receiving charitable funds from the race each year. Inspired by the race
and its significance within the Nashville community, Anderson Design Group rendered a beautiful,
colorful vintage poster of a jockey and his steed winning the race. An excellent home decor piece for
fans of horse racing and for those who can appreciate Nashville's charitable events, this Spirit of
Nashville artwork is available as a framed print, canvas banner, postcard, notecard, metal sign, or
canvas. And to learn more about the race, check out the website for the Iroquois
Steeplechase.
