Italy: Coffee in Pisa
2017 By Steven Garcia, Joel Anderson
About the Art
The Leaning Tower of Pisa, the “Torre Pendente di Pisa,” is a famous landmark. The tower was built on
a soft subsoil, hence the tower’ significant tilt. From 1990 to 2001, a great deal of restoration work was
done on the tower, and some of the concerning structural issues were corrected. Now the tower is more
stable, yet there is still a noticeable, iconic tilt to it. Seeking to eternalize the tower in vintage poster art,
Anderson Design Group crafted a travel poster of the tower, the nearby Cathedral of Santa Maria
Assunta, and a lone woman, enjoying a coffee in the park. A great take-home keepsake from a trip to
the tower or a perfect gift for a family member or friend, this artwork is available as a framed print,
canvas banner, or framed postcard. To learn more about Italy and great travel opportunities that await, be sure to visit the website for the Italian National Tourist Board.
