Italy: Vatican City
2014 By David Anderson, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Vatican City is a world famous religious site. The city-state has a year-round population of only 594
people, yet it is technically a country of its own. And it's a popular country too, receiving an incredible
five million visitors each year! The city also has its own army (135 soldiers all in all) and its own
soccer team. Last but not least, the entirety of Vatican City is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, (which
isn’t surprising, as Italy has more World Heritage Sites than any country in the world). Inspired by the
timeless and unique nature of a city-state like no other, Anderson Design Group crafted vintage travel
poster art of Vatican City, a twilight setting of the Tiber River and some of the famous Vatican City
buildings in the background. To learn more about Italy and great travel opportunities that await, be sure to visit the website for the Italian National Tourist Board.
