Japan: Kyoto
2019 By Aaron Johnson, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Kyoto is a truly ancient city. For over a thousand years, the city served as the imperial capital of Japan.
There are easily hundreds of Buddhist temples in Kyoto, making this city a spiritual and religious
center for Japan. Kyoto is known for its festivals, artisans, traditional cuisine, and heritage sites.
Inspired by a city so culturally intact, Anderson Design Group fashioned a hand-drawn, painted, and
lettered vintage travel poster of one of Kyoto’s many Buddhist temples. You can order this retro
artwork as a framed print, canvas banner, framed postcard, metal sign, or as a set of notecards or
postcards. Romantic travel posters like these make for fantastic wall décor for any home or office. You
can also purchase this artwork as a gift for a loved one. And to learn more about Kyoto, check out the
