Kentucky Landmark: My Old Kentucky Home
2016 By Michael Korfhage, Joel Anderson
About the Art
The infamy of Southern architecture is instantly recognized in rich, earthy tones of brick walls, brilliant
columns, and elegant eaves, plus lots of windows and intricate white trim. The style of Southern
homes take inspiration from the plantation homes built in the early and mid-1800s, magnificent
structures that commanded resplendent views of fields of cotton, soy beans, and peaches. Inspired by
the history and unique nature of these homes, Anderson Design Group handcrafted a vintage, turn-of-
the-century styled illustration of one such home, drawing our design pattern after the Golden Age of
Illustration styles of the early-1900s. Customize your own vintage travel poster art by ordering a
canvas banner, framed print, metal sign, or framed postcard. And to learn more about homes like these,

Historical Society.
