Visitors to Shenandoah National Park beware, the Wampus Cat may be lurking nearby! Cherokee legends tell tales of a woman who was turned into a feline monster. Ever since, people in the region that is now Shenandoah National Park has reported sightings of the vicious Wampus Cat. According to eye-witnesses, the stealthy cat-like creature has terrifying features, including razor sharp teeth, glowing green eyes, retractable claws, and a seemingly intentional habit of letting itself be spotted by lone hikers and wilderness explorers. Intrigued by this fearsome creature of Shenandoah National Park, Anderson Design Group poster artists rendered an original illustration of what we think the Wampus Cat might look like.
