About the Art
Welcome to Mali, a country rich in both cultural and ecological diversity. Mali is the eighth-largest country on the African continent and is home to stunning mosques, bazaars, ancient cities, and agricultural centers. One of the most notable travel attractions in Mali is the Great Mosque of Djenné. Considered one of the most genuine renditions of Sudano-Sahelian architectural style, the mosque can be found in the city of Djenné, Mali, near the banks of the Bani River. Beyond the Great Mosque of Djenné, Mali is known for having the most World Heritage sites of any country in Africa!
Inspired by the Great Mosque of Djenné (a UNESCO World Heritage Site as of 1988), Anderson Design Group’s talented poster artists hand-rendered a unique and original travel poster of the mosque, styling the vintage poster art after the iconic and nostalgic illustrations of the mid-20th century. Available as a poster, print, banner, canvas, metal sign, notecard, postcard, or framed postcard, this artwork will make the perfect addition to your wall.
