Metro Parks: Cumberland Park
2012 By Michael Korfhage, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Lining the shores of the Cumberland River in downtown Music City, one will find the Cumberland
Park, a true Nashville favorite. An exciting new attraction along the city’s ever popular riverfront, the
park includes an innovative play space for kids, an outdoor amphitheater, and plenty of gardens and
walking paths. The park rests between Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge and the Korean War Veterans
Memorial Bridge. The Cumberland Park is a great place for families to gather and enjoy a pleasant
afternoon in downtown Nashville. Amazed at the design and success of the park following the 2010
flood, Anderson Design Group honored the park by creating vintage poster art of the water feature and
one of the park's walking paths. Styled after the retro artwork of the early 20th-century, this Nashville
poster would look great as a print, banner, notecard, postcard, metal sign, or framed postcard. And to
