Mount Ararat: Resting Place Of Noah's Ark
2026 By Aaron Johnson, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Mount Ararat, located in eastern Turkey near the Iranian border, is traditionally identified in the Bible as the resting place of Noah's Ark. For centuries, this snow-capped, inactive volcano has been the focal point of global expeditions and religious pilgrimages. While the Bible broadly mentions the "mountains of Ararat," the most prominent area of archaeological and tourist interest is the Durupınar site, located roughly 18 miles south of Mount Ararat's peak. The artists of Anderson Design Group have created this vintage-style poster to visualize what it might have looked like just after the great flood as the animals were leaving Noah's ark. This illustration will look great as a print, canvas, postcard, metal sign, or note card.
