Myanmar: Bagan
2019 By Steven Garcia, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Welcome to Bagan, an ancient and historical city in the country of Myanmar. The city is perhaps best
known for its historical roles in using the Pagan belief system to unite the region which is now
Myanmar. This occurred during the 11th , 12th , and 13th centuries. To this day, more than 2,000 Buddhist
and Pagan temples still remain in the Bagan region, a testament to this city’s history. Inspired by the
cultural strength and historical nature of Bagan, Anderson Design Group handcrafted a vintage travel
poster of the city, a hand-rendered and painted illustration of one of the city’s many Buddhist temples.
You can order this retro artwork as a keepsake from your trip there, or as a reminder of a bucket list
travel destination. To learn more about Bagan and other Myanmar attractions, check out the Ministry of Hotels and
Tourism for Myanmar.
