Nashville Hot Chicken (Groovy Blue)
2017 By Ryan Bosse, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Did you know that Nashville is not just famous for its music, but also for its spicy hot chicken? That’s
right, beginning with the opening of Prince’s Hot Chicken almost 100 years ago, Nashville was
immediately put on the map as a hot chicken hotspot! And in the following decades, “Nashville Style”
hot chicken really took off here in Music City, setting a national, even global standard for hot chicken
dishes. And while Prince’s might still be the “king” of Nashville spicy chicken, it’s pretty easy
nowadays to find a decent spicy chicken meal in just about any Nashville neighborhood. Inspired by
the tasty, hot chicken we’ve come to know and love, Anderson Design Group handcrafted vintage
poster art to show our appreciation for this iconic dish. Available as posters, prints, notecards, postcards,
metal signs, and canvas banners, these silly and fun spicy chicken posters look great as wall art pieces,
kitchen decorations, and fun reminders of a hot and spicy trip to Music City! To learn more about the
story behind Nashville’s spicy chicken, check out the website for Prince’s Hot
Chicken.
