National Parks Wildlife: Bison

Bison are symbolic of the American West, a looming figure that roams the prairies and grasslands of some of America’s most rural and secluded regions. There is one herd of bison that numbers as many as 4,900, and the herd happens to live in Yellowstone National Park! It is the largest herd that lives on public lands.
