About the Art

A nation close to its cultural and indigenous roots, Paraguay is one of the only countries where an indigenous language is still spoken by all of the nation’s inhabitants. The language is called Guarani, which is an onomatopoeic language. That means Guarani has words which mimic sounds made by nature and wildlife. Paraguay is also famous for the Pantanal, a stretch of wetlands not dissimilar to the American Everglades. Anderson Design Group crafted vintage travel poster art of these wetlands, a sunset-tinged, tropical illustration of a couple navigating the Pantanal waterways among the region's iconic, giant lily pads. Available in several styles, you can order this classic illustration as an art print, canvas banner, framed print, metal sign, notecard, or framed postcard.
