Philippines: Palawan
2019 By Steven Garcia, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Often given designations like the “Top Island in the World,” Palawan is well-known for its incredible
white sand beaches, its tropical-forested islands, and its elusive, almost undiscovered nature. Palawan
was one of the last regions to become a part of the Philippines and is likely one of the most
underdeveloped regions in the island country. Palawan is also dedicated to environmental conservation,
with Palawan’s main city, Puerto Princesa, even being nicknamed the “City in a Forest” for its
conservation efforts. Inspired by the wild and beautiful nature of the Palawan Islands, Anderson Design
Group handcrafted a vintage travel poster of Palawan, a fitting depiction in mid-century design styles
of one Palawan’s beautiful beaches. This classical design is available as a framed print, canvas banner,
framed postcard, or as a metal sign. To learn more about this region, be sure to visit the Philippines Department of Tourism.
Our gorgeous art canvases are made-to-order on high-fidelity printers and stretched onto wood frames with hanging brackets installed. Each work of art features an original illustration by the talented, award-winning artists of Anderson Design Group.
