About the Art
Did you know that Portland, Oregon’s name was decided by a coin toss? That the city is home to the
world’s smallest park? That the city has more microbreweries per capita than any other city in the
world? That the city is home to the largest independently owned bookstore in the world? This is a
truly unique city. The city even carries the slogan, “Keep Portland Weird.” Our team chuckles when
we read all of the interesting and even comical facts about Portland, so we felt this city deserved a
colorful illustration of its own. Our Anderson Design Group artists drew and colored a vintage travel
poster of Portland, using nothing but pencils, brushes, and a stylus. To learn more about the City of
Roses, check out Travel Portland.
