San Francisco: Cable Car
2010 By Julian Baker, Joel Anderson
About the Art
What better way to get around San Francisco and to really enjoy the spirit of this city than by catching
a ride on a historic cable car? The cable cars used to be a primary mode of transportation for an across-
town commute, as they were quite efficient in tackling San Francisco’s many hills. Nowadays, most of
the trolleys have been decommissioned, but a handful still exist for historic and recreational purposes.
In this vintage travel poster by Anderson Design Group, our artists designed a fashionable, retro travel
poster of one of the trolleys, a turn of the century illustration of the railcar trundling into the sunset.
Remember a fond trip to San Francisco with this vintage travel poster art as a framed print, canvas
banner, or metal sign. To learn more about San Francisco, visit the San Francisco Visitor Information Center.
