About the Art
Ah, Santa Monica. A beach town, a great place for a family vacation, and the end of the road for the
famous Route 66. Santa Monica brings out American history and the cultural significance of long roads
and wide, open spaces. The main reason for that is because the famous, 2,448 mile long Route 66
comes to a final stop on the Santa Monica Pier. In this vintage travel poster art, Anderson Design group
drew and illustrated a classic setting of a mid-1900s dressed woman enjoying a ride down Route 66 in a
top-down convertible. Vintage travel posters like these are great conversation starters, they accent
home decor, and they make for great gifts too! Order this illustration as an art print, framed postcard,
canvas banner, or as a set of notecards or postcards.
