Shenandoah National Park: Cardinal On Dogwood
2017 By Michael Korfhage, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Shenandoah National Park preserves much of the Shenandoah Valley, one of the most beautiful places
in the United States. This park offers 200,000 acres of protected hills, valleys, waterfalls, rivers, hiking
trails, and the famous Skyline Drive. The park is also home to thirty bird species that nest in the park
year round. The cardinal is one of them, pictured here resting on a blossoming dogwood branch.
Anderson Design Group handcrafted this retro national park poster, styling it after the WPA-
commissioned artwork of the early-20th century. This poster would make a great addition to any
room’s decor. Or gift the vintage travel art to a collector friend. To get more information about the
park, visit the Shenandoah
National Park Trust.
