Solomon Islands
2024 By Steven Garcia, Joel Anderson
About the Art
A popular vacation destination for those seeking an island getaway, the Solomon Islands consist of several large volcanic islands to the southeast of Papua New Guinea, as well as outlying islands and atolls. The terrain is mountainous and heavily forested. Guadalcanal, a province and one of the archipelago’s largest islands, honors fallen Allied soldiers at its U.S. War Memorial, a favorite attraction. Guadalcanal is also home to the nation’s capital, Honiara, whose bustling Central Market showcases the islands’ produce and traditional handicrafts. The Solomon Islands are also one of the world’s top diving destinations. Vintage poster art provides the perfect style for depicting world travel destinations, and this original travel poster and hand-rendered art design will look great as an unframed print, framed illustration, notecard, postcard, metal sign, canvas, or mini canvas. Available in multiple size options, this whimsical travel art was fashioned in the style of 20th-century vintage art and the iconic travel art and retro art that first promoted international travel and adventure.
