South Africa: Durban

About the Art
Fans of surfing, warm weather, the beach life, and great local food should strongly consider a trip to
Durban, South Africa. With beaches as far as the eye can see and a bustling nightlife, we can see why
Durban attracts about two million visitors each year. Commercially, Durban also has the ninth largest
harbor in the world and is the busiest commercial shipping port in all of the African continent. Seeking
to capture the waterborne lifestyle of Durban visitors and locals alike, Anderson Design Group crafted
a vintage travel poster of a surfer catching the swells along the Durban coast. Drawn, lettered, and
colored after the classic travel poster designs of the early-1900s, this retro poster art would look great
as a canvas banner, art print, or metal sign. To learn more about Durban, be sure to check out the travel
website for South Africa.
