Suriname: Mount Kaskasima
2018 By Steven Garcia, Joel Anderson
About the Art
A country located on the northeastern coast of South America, Suriname is known for its vast swaths of
tropical rainforest, its Dutch colonial-era architecture and historic sites, and its present-day melting pot
of cultures, demographics, and languages. A country of only 545,000 people with almost half the
population living in the capital city of Paramaribo, Suriname is known for being a rainforest paradise of
protected forests, rivers, and mountains. People travel from far and wide to experience the untouched,
undisturbed nature of Suriname’s wilderness. Inspired by that wilderness, Anderson Design Group
handcrafted a vintage travel poster of Mount Kasikasima, one of the country’s most popular tourism
destinations. You can order this retro artwork as a classic framed print, canvas banner, metal sign, or
framed postcard. To learn more about the country, be sure to check out the Suriname
Tourism Foundation.
