Thailand: Sukhothai
2017 By Steven Garcia, Joel Anderson
About the Art
A trip to Thailand would not be complete without a visit to Sukhothai, the capital city of Northern
Thailand. Though Sukhothai is famous for its charming residents, its food, and its pleasant climate, the
main attraction of Sukhothai are the ancient ruins of an entire city that still reside nearby. Built in the
1200s, this ancient city has been preserved by the people of Sukhothai and the government of Thailand,
making it so that future generations will always be able to learn something about Thailand’s history.
Anderson Design Group captured some of the magic and beauty of Thailand in vintage travel poster
art, a retro illustration of a Sukhothai shrine. Styled after the travel art of the early-20th century, this
artwork is available as an art print, canvas banner, framed print, or framed postcard. To learn more
about Sukhothai, check out the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
