The Hound Of The Baskervilles: Arthur Conan Doyle
2026 By Aaron Johnson, Joel Anderson
About the Art
The Hound of the Baskervilles is a classic Sherlock Holmes novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, first serialized in 1901-1902, featuring Holmes and Dr. Watson investigating a supposed supernatural curse and demonic hound haunting the Baskerville family estate on Dartmoor, England, after the mysterious death of Sir Charles Baskerville. The story pits Holmes's rationalism against a seemingly supernatural foe, exploring themes of ancestry, superstition, and good versus evil, and marked the detective's return after his supposed death in a previous story. To celebrate a classic book, the artists of Anderson Design Group rendered this iconic book cover, vintage poster design, and classic literature art as a part of the Literary Classics Collection, celebrating great books of all genres in 20th-century-inspired art, poster art, and original illustrations. This retro art is available as a poster, print, notecard, postcard, canvas, or metal sign.
