The Invisible Man: H.G. Wells
2024 By Aaron Johnson, Joel Anderson
About the Art
This science fiction story inspired countless similar tales to follow, creating a cult following all of its own. Written by the father of science fiction, H.G. Wells, The Invisible Man to whom the title refers is known as Griffin, a scientist who has devoted himself to research into optics and who invents a way to change a body’s refractive index to that of air so that it neither absorbs nor reflects light! Naturally, he carries out this procedure on himself and renders himself invisible but fails in his attempts to reverse it. To celebrate a classic story that still entertains readers to this day, the artists of Anderson Design Group rendered this iconic book cover, vintage poster design, and classic literature art as a part of the Literary Classics Collection, celebrating great books of all genres in 20th-century-inspired art, poster art, and original illustrations. This retro art is available as a poster, print, notecard, postcard, canvas, or as a metal sign.
