Tulsa, OK: Golden Driller
2014 By Michael Korfhage, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Did you know that, in 1907, Oklahoma produced more oil than any other state in the U.S.? And did you
know that it also produced more oil than any other country in the world? This region took off during
the early-1900s for oil production, and it is still a major oil producer to this day. Tulsa is also the site of
the Golden Driller, the world’s largest, free-standing statue. The statue features the effigy of an oil
driller standing alongside a drilling platform. To commemorate the city and its history, our award-
winning artists at Anderson Design Group fashioned their own, vintage travel poster of the statue and
the city skyline in the background. Order this retro artwork as a framed print, canvas banner, metal
sign, or as a set of notecards or postcards. And to learn more about Tulsa, be sure to check out the
website for Visit
Tulsa.
Our gorgeous art canvases are made-to-order on high-fidelity printers and stretched onto wood frames with hanging brackets installed. Each work of art features an original illustration by the talented, award-winning artists of Anderson Design Group.
