Vietnam: Halong Bay

Located in the Quang Ninh province of Vietnam, Halong Bay is famous for its more than 1,960 vegetation-covered limestone islands. This incredible bay is about 579 square miles in size. The bay is home to about 1,600 fishermen and their families. These communities live on floating villages that are usually tied or anchored to the rocky, limestone islands.
