Voyageurs National Park: Quiet Cove
2024 By Arden von Haeger, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Located in northern Minnesota, Voyageurs National Park is best known for its incredible water-based recreation, camping experiences, pristine lakes, deep, boreal forests, diverse wildlife, winter ice roads, and starry night skies. Anderson Design Group’s artist collaborator, Arden von Haeger, rendered a vintage travel poster, styling the illustration with influences from early 20th-century WPA-era artwork. Arden's hand-rendered illustration style conveys grandeur, romance, and nuance. In his own words describing what inspired him about this particular park, Arden said, “Voyageurs National Park, located in northern Minnesota, is a labyrinth of interconnected lakes, islands, and lush boreal forests that invites exploration, serene fishing spots, and observation of diverse wildlife along unspoiled shorelines.” This design invokes a feeling of pride and nostalgia, a reminder of our love for the parks. This national park poster and vintage national park art is perfect for home or office decor. It also serves as an excellent national park gift for the enthusiast in your family. As an original national park illustration, this design will look great as an unframed print, framed poster, notecard, postcard, metal sign, canvas, or mini canvas. This hand-rendered nature illustration is fashioned in the style of vintage poster art and the iconic 20th-century travel art that first promoted the national parks in the 19th and 20th centuries.
