War of 1812—200th Anniv.
2012 By Andy Gregg
About the Art
On the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812, Anderson Design Group rendered a vintage poster to
commemorate the event. Tennessee played a crucial role in that war. In fact, Tennessee got its
nickname, the Volunteer State, because hundreds of Tennessee men volunteered for that war. This retro
poster is our own way of saluting our state’s honorable past. Drawn, lettered, and painted by hand, this
poster features design styles from the Golden Age of Illustration. The artwork is available as a framed
print, canvas, canvas banner, metal sign, poster, notecard, or postcard. To learn more about Nashville
