Washington, DC: Cherry Blossoms

Did you know that the cherry trees which line the Tidal Basin in West Potomac Park were a gift from the mayor of Tokyo in 1912? Tended to and cared for to this day, these cherry trees always amaze visitors when they blossom into full color in the late spring.
